Steamcon IV was one of the most interesting event shoots I have done in a long time. Of course it helped that I was a member of the staff photographers pool, and had access to a lot of the show that others didn’t get to see like the costume contest green room. Overall this one was an awesome shoot, and I really have to thank the staff and people all over Steamcon. The problem was that I had made a commitment a year earlier to another show, so I really didn’t get the chance to run around the way that I would have liked to have done. Even though I was staff, there are times when you can double book yourself, and I really don’t recommend that you do that as a habit. It is really hard to focus and see what is happening when you have to run across town so you can do the right thing by both shows. I often tend to think that you can’t, and I feel like I didn’t spend enough time at either show to really gab the essence of it.
In the meantime – the main gallery is here for Steamcon IV, feel free to check it out and tell me what you think. I am always interested in user feedback, and of course I would love it if you bought a picture or two or three to help me feed the cats.
